On March 10, 2026, The Romanian Hub for Artificial Intelligence (HRIA) celebrated its first anniversary by hosting the workshop \u201cHRIA: Results, Collaborations and Perspectives After the First Year of Implementation<\/strong>\u201d, held in the Senate Hall of the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest. The event marked a key moment for assessing the project\u2019s scientific and technological progress, bringing together representatives from academia, the high tech industry, and public institutions.<\/p>\n

In its first year, HRIA has strengthened its position as a mature, European recognized ecosystem where universities and companies collaborate to develop intelligent solutions with direct impact on the economy and society.<\/p>\n

In her opening remarks, Prof. Adina Florea, PhD, HRIA Project Director<\/strong>, emphasized Romania\u2019s strategic potential in the field of artificial intelligence: \u201cRomania has a tremendous competitive advantage in several areas where artificial intelligence can act as a particle accelerator. HRIA represents a mature AI ecosystem in which Romania is becoming not only a place where ideas are implemented, but a true innovation hub. One year after launch, I dare to look ahead and believe that, four years from now, AI made in Romania will stand as a solid emblem for our nation.\u201d<\/p>\n
