On May 27, 2026, the Romanian HUB of Artificial Intelligence (HRIA), represented by the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iași, has been awarded the Education Initiative of the Year at the PIN Awards 2026, one of the most important events celebrating excellence and impact in the regional tech industry.
HRIA was recognized as initiative for its contribution to creating innovative educational programs, and strengthening the connection between academia and the technology industry.
This year’s edition brought together more than 250 participants at Agora – Iași Events Center, in a format dedicated to celebrating community, collaboration, and innovation within the Moldavian tech ecosystem. Organized by the Fab Lab Iași Association, the PIN Awards Gala gathered leaders of technology companies, entrepreneurs, startups, academics, public authorities, and active members of the regional tech community.
The theme of the 2026 edition — “Community and Collaboration” — highlighted the importance of partnerships, knowledge exchange, and initiatives that contribute to the sustainable development of the regional technology ecosystem. The event featured networking sessions, keynote interventions, and the awards ceremony recognizing the projects, companies, and professionals that have significantly shaped the industry’s evolution.
Organized annually by Fab Lab Iași and PIN Magazine, the PIN Awards Gala remains one of the most relevant platforms dedicated to acknowledging the projects, companies, and professionals driving technological innovation and growth in the Moldavian region.
