    Expected outcome: Development of new technologies, models, methods, and algorithms in AI, as well as original and innovative prototypes of AI-based systems and services aligned with HRIA’s RDI directions.

  • O2. Strengthening collaboration with the business sector, facilitating the transfer of AI research outcomes to the economic environment and promoting the widespread adoption of AI across the Romanian economy

    Expected outcome: Enhanced innovation capacity of Romanian companies through the integration of AI in product and process innovation, and the development of pilot projects and AI-based applications.

  • Developing highly specialized human capital, including the attraction and retention of next-generation AI researchers, workplace-based training for young talents, and the engagement of top-tier AI experts from Romania and abroad, including the diaspora

    Expected outcome: A new generation of highly specialized researchers in Artificial Intelligence.

  • O4. Building high-standard research infrastructure and ensuring its efficient use to support HRIA’s research, development, and innovation objectives

    Expected outcome: Establishment of high-performance computing infrastructure.

     

  • O5. Increasing the international visibility of Romanian AI research, enhancing the capacity of Romanian researchers to participate in European cooperation and excellence networks within the European Union

    Expected outcome: Greater visibility of Romanian researchers at the European and international level, active participation in Horizon Europe and other international projects, and integration into the European Research Area.
