On July 15, 2025, the Romanian Hub for Artificial Intelligence (HRIA) hosted an online strategic workshop titled “The Potential of Creative AI Resources in Romanian Society: Gradual Implementation of AI Technologies.” The event focused on collaborative planning and analysis of research directions T1–T4 within the HRIA program.

On June 30, the HRIA project organized the scientific presentation “Impact of Explainable AI in Sciences, Energy and Medicine: Large Language Models, Graph Neural Networks and Physics-Informed Neural Networks”. The presentation took place at the PRECIS research institute and was delivered by Prof. Saman Halgamuge – University of Melbourne and member of IEEE, IET, AAIA and NASSL, as well as distinguished visitor of the IEEE Computer Society.
On June 25, 2025, the Romanian Hub for Artificial Intelligence – HRIA was officially launched. HRIA is a strategic project that positions Romania on the European map of excellence in Artificial Intelligence.
HRIA will build a national ecosystem that connects research, innovation and the economic environment, with the objective of developing advanced technologies and concrete applications based on Artificial Intelligence.
